college is named after great patriot and freedom fighter Maulana
Abdul Kalam Azad. The foundation stone of the main building was
laid by 24th October 1959.
UG
COURSES
A)
MBBS Course
-
180 students are admitted
annually. The distribution of seats is as follows:
-
15% of total seats i.e. 27 seats are filled in through the entrance examination conducted by the C.B.S.E. on All India basis.
-
15% of total seats i.e. 27 seats are reserved for Scheduled Castes and 7½% i.e.14 seats are reserved for Scheduled Tribes
-
9 seats are reserved for son/daughter/widow of Armed personnel disabled or killed in action during hostilities.
-
6 seats are reserved for Government of India nominees.
-
97 seats are filled on merit basis through DPMT Entrance Test conducted by Delhi University.
B)
BDS COURSE
-
40 students are admitted annually.
The distribution of seats is as follows:
-
15% of total seats i.e. 6 seats are filled in through
the entrance examination conducted by the CBSE
on All India basis.
-
15% of total seats i.e 6 seats are reserved for
Scheduled Castes and 7½% i.e. 4 seats are
reserved for Scheduled Tribes.
-
24 seats are filled on merit basis through DPMT
entrance test conducted by Delhi University.
C)
ADMISSION
-
Selected candidates are required to deposit fees
in person as early as possible after the
announcement of selection and in any case before
the notified date for the purpose, failing which
admission will lapse automatically without any
further notification and the seat shall be offered
to next on waiting list.
-
The fee is accepted subject to execution of bond
to serve in rural areas for a period of two years as
per terms and conditions mentioned in the bond.
Hence, every student is required to execute the
bond.

Selected candidates will be required to undergo
medical examination by the medical officers
appointed for the purpose. Candidates found
medically unfit will not be adimitted.
SCHOLARSHIPS
AND FREESHIPS AND STUDENT AID FUNDS
10%
of total number of admissions @Rs. 75 per month. Half of the number
of scholarships will be awarded on the basis of merit and remaining
half on the basis of merit cum means.
FREESHIPS
10%
of the total number of admissions every year.
COMPULSORY
HINDI TEST
All students are required to pass an examination in
Hindi at the end of the first or second year of MBBS/
BDS Course if he/she has not passed Hindi at the VlII
standard (Minimum), unless he/she has been exempted
by the Delhi University. Adequate arrangements for
preparing the students for this examination are
available at the Institution.
PG COURSES
Mch
Pediatric Surgery
MD and MS in various disciplines.
DURATION
Post
doctoral course (MD/MS): 3 years
Diploma: 2 ½ years.
ATTENDANCE
- The requisite percentage of attendance in the Class/Wards/Laboratories, as per rules and regulations laid down in the Ordinance of the University of Delhi, will be necessary before the student is sent for University Examinations.
- 75% of attendance in a subject is compulsory for appearing in the University Examination.
- Student enjoying the benefit of Scholarship or Freeship will loose previllege in case he/she fails to secure 75% attendance and/or violate the rules of discipline of the Institution.

LIBRARY RULES
The library normally remains open on every working
day from 9.00 A.M. to 8.00 P.M. or for such hours
as are fixed from time to time. On Sundays and
holidays, the library remains open from 10.30 A.M.
to 4.30 P.M. Reading room remains open for round
the clock.
HOSTEL
